Sullivan, Wise named Bulldogs of the Week

PERKINSTON — Lauren Sullivan and Jackson Wise have been named Bulldogs of the Week for April 8-14.

Sullivan, a freshman from Laurel, won five matches during Gulf Coast's run to the championship match of the Region 23 Women's Tennis Tournament. She teamed with Mikenzy Dubrow to win all three matches at No. 3 doubles and won a pair of No. 5 singles matches. Sullivan was named to the All-MACCC Team in ceremonies at the tournament.

Wise, a sophomore from Pontotoc, won the MACCC Championship at Tunica National Golf Club by one shot over teammate Peyton Russell. The Bulldogs won by 33 shots over runner-up East Central.

Aleah Beaugez, a freshman shortstop from D'Iberville, slashed .571/.667/1.286 in Mississippi Gulf Coast's split at No. 5 Pearl River. In a 14-11 win, she contributed a homer, two doubles and four RBI to the slugfest. The doubleheader was the only action of the week for Gulf Coast.
