Kelvin Bolden of Ocean Springs played football at MGCCC in 2008 and 2009. He was chosen Second Team All-MACJC (Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges) in 2008 and First Team All-MACJC, All-Region 23 and National Community and Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-American in 2009.

In his freshman season, Bolden was on the MACJC State Championship football team, making 18 receptions for 344 yards and four touchdowns. In 2009, he broke the MGCCC record for touchdowns and receiving yards, with 17 touchdowns and 1,337 yards. During the state championship game, he had 236 yards receiving and three touchdowns.

During his sophomore year, Bolden finished with 50 catches –second in school history– for 1,186 yards and 16 touchdowns, both school records. He also tied the college’s single-game record with three touchdown catches against Coahoma during the 2009 season. He was chosen for the Leading Receiver Award at MGCCC.

After leaving MGCCC, he was ranked the No. 6 wide receiver recruit in the nation, No. 11 recruit across all positions in Mississippi and No. 47 recruit across all positions in the nation. Transferring to The University of Southern Mississippi, he was named Second Team All-Conference USA in 2010 and 2011. At USM, his totals were 104 receptions with 1,393 receiving yards, 13 receiving touchdowns and one rushing touchdown. Playing only two seasons at USM, he is currently ranked No. 16 all-time in receiving yards, No. 17 all-time in receptions, No. 30 all-time in touchdowns scored and No. 42 all-time in total yards in USM history.

After finishing his collegiate career, Bolden went on to sign as an undrafted free agent with the Washington Redskins and later with the Canadian Football League’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
