Mississippi Gulf Coast Junior College (1966-68) / Football

He was a member of George Sekul's first two Mississippi Association of Junior Colleges championship football teams, 1966 and 1967. In 1966, he became MGCJC's first freshman All-American. He was named All-State in 1966 and 1967 and played in the 1967 All-Star Football Game. In 1999 Fletcher still held the MGCCC record for the most touchdown passes caught in a season (11 in 1966), and remained tied for the most touchdowns caught in a game (3 in the 1966 Hinds game). After leaving Gulf Coast, Fletcher played football for two years at Southeastern Louisiana University. In 1999, he was project coordinator for Ingalls Shipbuilding.
