Nick Georgian was a member of the men’s tennis team at Gulf Coast from 2011-2013. He was a tremendous asset to the program and was solely responsible for the men’s team qualifying for the NJCAA national championship during his freshman year.

He won the Mississippi Association of Junior and Community Colleges singles championship with an amazing comeback. Georgian lost the first set, and he was trailing 2-5 in the second set at 40-15. With three match points against him, he not only came back to win the game, but he rallied to win the match and qualified to play in the Region 23 Championship. During the championship, he won the title, beating the Itawamba opponent in the finals, securing the team a spot at the National Junior College Athletic Association Championship.

In his sophomore year, Georgian was undefeated, anchoring a team that lost only four courts the entire season. The team returned to the NJCAA Championship, where Georgian made it all the way to the second round in singles.
