John S. "Johnny" Adams

Adams was a starting guard on Coach Bob Weathers' 1966 South Division and state championship basketball team. At the conclusion of that season, he was selected as an All-Region Five player. Adams attended Belhaven College, 1966-68, where he was also a starting guard. While there, he had the highest scholastic average of any Belhaven athlete in 1968 and led the team in assists and free throw percentage (87 percent, third in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics). Following graduation from Belhaven, Adams pursued a business career.
