Kuharich attended Gulf Coast from 2004-2006. In golf, he was All-Tournament and honorable mention All-American at the 2006 National Junior College Athletic Association Division II National Championship in Scottsboro, Ala., where he led the Gulf Coast golfers with a 73-73-71-73–290. He was ranked 25th in the nation during fall 2005.

In 2009, he won the Slavic Invitational Golf Tournament in Biloxi. Hosted by the Slavic Benevolent Association of Saint Nikolai, the tournament is known as the “greatest amateur team tournament in Mississippi.”

After graduating from Gulf Coast, Kuharich attended The University of Southern Mississippi, earning his bachelor’s degree in business administration. In 2012, he worked as the Food and Beverage Outlets manager at Hotel Galvez and Spa in Galveston, Texas.
