PERKINSTON — No. 20 Mississippi Gulf Coast plays archrival Pearl River on Tuesday for the first time at the new stadium at Ken "Curly" Farris Field.
The doubleheader starts at 3 p.m. It will be streamed online at https://livestream.com/BulldogLIVE/PRCCvsMGCCCBaseball17.
The Bulldogs (15-7, 4-2 MACJC) have won four of their last five after a sweep at Coahoma on Sunday. They are sixth in the state standings.
Tyler Evans (So., D'Iberville/D'Iberville) has a 10-game hitting streak. He's batting .382 in those games, with a double, a triple, a home run and 10 RBI.
Pearl River (13-5, 4-0) has won eight straight and 13 of its last 14 games. The Wildcats and East Central are the only unbeaten teams in the state.
