Bio

Caleb Sterling is beginning his collegiate coaching career at Gulf Coast, joining the Bulldogs staff for the 2024 season. He brings experience as a two-way MACCC player as well as being an NCAA Division I catcher to Perkinston.

Sterling started 24 games behind the plate as a sophomore for ULM in 2022 before a career-ending injury. As a freshman at Hinds, he batted .309 with four home runs and 26 RBI in 42 games, while also going 3-2 on the mound with a 4.24 ERA.

He was named to the Clarion Ledger Dandy Dozen while starring at Warren Central High School, hitting .282 with three home runs while putting together a 2.62 ERA on the mound. Sterling batted .361 as a junior and .313 as a sophomore.

Sterling has an associate’s degree in general studies from Hinds.
