PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast dominated from start to finish in its first home men's basketball game of the season Friday, blowing out Royal Ambassadors 152-60.
Carr Thiam (So., Wharton/Tampa, Fla.) had 34 points to lead the Bulldogs, and Anthony Ratliff (So., Terry/Jackson) had a 22-point, 14-rebound double-double.
Six Bulldogs scored in double figures, and all 10 players who dressed out scored.
Melvion Flanagan (So., Peabody/Alexandria, La.) had 25 points and eight assists. Donovan Sanders (Fr., Lake Cormorant/Walls) led Gulf Coast with 11 assists and also scored 15 for a double-double of his own.
Caleb McCarty (So., Biloxi/Biloxi) also scored 15 points, and Vashon Sims (Fr., East Marion/Columbia) had 14.
Gulf Coast shot 59 percent from the field.
The Bulldogs are back in action Monday with a trip to LSU Eunice. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
