Men’s Tennis can move up Thursday

No. 13 Mississippi Gulf Coast has four courts alive in the consolation draw of the NJCAA Division I Men's Tennis Championship in Plano, Texas.

The Bulldogs are in 19th place after three days but just two points behind 14th-place Jones, the top MACCC in the standings with two days left to play.

Seth Macute (Fr., Brisbane, Australia/St Joseph's Nudgee College) advanced to the back draw semifinals in No. 1 singles, as did Pedro Molero (Fr., Maracaibo, Venezuela/U.E. Instituto Americano Joseph John Thomson) at No. 2.

Anderson Dulaney (Fr., Long Beach/Long Beach) is in the semis at No. 5 singles. The Bulldogs' No. 1 team of Macute and Wesley Fontaine (So., Biloxi/Biloxi) are the only tandem left in doubles play.
