No. 15 MGCCC loses 1st MACCC match in 2 years

No. 15 Mississippi Gulf Coast saw its 26-match MACCC men's tennis win streak end Friday in Ellisville. No. 16 Jones beat the Bulldogs 6-3.

It was the first Gulf Coast loss against an MACCC squad since losing to Jones in February 2020.

Paul Gayk (Fr., Muelheim an der Ruhr, Germany/Berufskolleg Lehnerstrasse) and Anderson Dulaney (So., Long Beach/Long Beach) won their No. 2 doubles match.

Clay Fudge (So., Madison/Madison Central) won at No. 3 singles, and Anderson Dulaney (So., Long Beach/Long Beach) picked up the point at No. 4.

Gayk and Molero lost close matches at Nos. 1 and 2 singles.

Gulf Coast is back in action Tuesday when it hosts Southwest Mississippi. First serves are set for 2 p.m.
