No. 17 Mississippi Gulf Coast claimed another victory over a Top-25 team Friday when the Bulldogs beat No. 24 East Central.

The Bulldogs won 7-2 over the Warriors at Decatur.

Gulf Coast improves to 11-5 overall, 11-4 in the MACCC. ECCC is now 6-11, 5-10.

The Bulldogs won two of three doubles matches, then cleaned up on five of six singles courts.

Gulf Coast was scheduled to play Holmes at Perkinston on Tuesday, but the school has had to shut down its tennis teams for the rest of the season as a result of damage to its dorms and courts from this week's tornado. The Bulldogs will play an exhibition against William Carey in Hattiesburg on Wednesday.
