Gayk, Dulaney named All-MACCC

PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast placed two players on the All-MACCC Men's Tennis Team, and coach Sam Blackburn picked up hardware of his own.

Paul Gayk (Fr., Muelheim an der Ruhr, Germany/Berufskolleg Lehnerstrasse) and Anderson Dulaney (So., Long Beach/Long Beach) were named to the All-MACCC team.

Gayk and Dulaney were a dominant force at No. 2 doubles all season. They dropped only one match at No. 2 doubles, finishing 17-1.

Dulaney was even more dominant on the singles court. Playing No. 3 or No. 4, he won all 17 matches. Gayk went 12-6 at No. 1 singles.

Blackburn was named MACCC Co-Coach of the Year along with Jones' Brooks Buffington. Blackburn led the Bulldogs to MACCC and NJCAA Region 23 runner-up finishes in his second season in charge. Gulf Coast won both those titles in 2021.

Gulf Coast finished 14th at the NJCAA Division I Men's Tennis Championship in Tyler, Texas, last week.
