No. 3 MGCCC opens MACJC playoffs Friday against EMCC

PERKINSTON – No. 3 Mississippi Gulf Coast opens the MACJC playoffs Friday against East Mississippi.

The best-of-three series features Game 1 at 6 p.m. The second game will be Saturday at 1 p.m., with a third game, if necessary, following immediately after at Ross-Smith Field.

The Lady Bulldogs were 39-3, 23-3 MACJC headed into Tuesday's regular-season finale doubleheader at Copiah-Lincoln. Gulf Coast finished second in the conference, with East Mississippi (19-21, 14-14 MACJC) the No. 7 seed.

Four best-of-three series are being played around the state this weekend, with the four winners advancing to the MACJC Tournament in Ellisville starting April 29.
