MGCCC women face Meridian in key matchup

PERKINSTON — The Mississippi Gulf Coast women's basketball team faces a critical showdown Monday in the race for the MACCC Tournament. 

The Bulldogs entertain Meridian at the Weathers-Wentzell Center. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m., and the game will be streamed at https://livestream.com/mgcccbulldogs/events/10122451.

The teams are tied for the eighth and final playoff spot with Copiah-Lincoln.

• MGCCC lost 70-62 to Itawamba in Fulton on Thursday.

Gulf Coast won 64-61 at Meridian 64-61 earlier this season in a non-conference game. Sharisse Bridges (So., Jackson/Callaway) had 16 points and 14 rebounds.
