PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast lost 83-53 to Southwest Mississippi in women's basketball on Thursday at the Weathers-Wentzell Center.
Brieanna Miller (So., Moss Point/Moss Point) had 17 points for the Bulldogs. Elsie Harris (So., Mobile, Ala./B.C. Rain) was the only other Gulf Coast player in double-digits with 10.
MGCCC falls to 13-8 overall, 5-7 MACCC. The Bears are 15-7, 10-3.
Gulf Coast turned the ball over on five of its first six possession, and Southwest scored the first 15 points of the game.
The Bulldogs are on the road Monday with a trip to Copiah-Lincoln. Tipoff in Wesson will be at 6 p.m.
