Bulldog teams, players earn 2014 All-NJCAA Academic honors

PERKINSTON---Three Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College teams and 10 Bulldog student athletes have earned All NJCAA Academic awards for 2014. Teams that qualify with an overall GPA above 3.0 are also recognized as an NJCAA All-Academic Team. This season the Lady Bulldog softball team (3.28 Team GPA), Lady Bulldog women's soccer team (3.13 team GPA), and Bulldog baseball team (3.16 Team GPA) are all NJCAA honorees. 

The NJCAA also has three categories for individual student atheltes:

NJCAA Pinnacle Award for Academic Excellence (4.00 GPA on a 4.00 scale)

NJCAA Award for Superior Academic Achievement (3.80 – 3.99 on a 4.00 scale)

NJCAA Award for Exemplary Academic Achievement (3.60 – 3.79 on a 4.00 scale)

JUSTIN BRISTER (Football/3.76 GPA/Exemplary)

CAT CAMPBELL (Softball/3.85 GPA/Superior)

EMILY DAVIS (Softball/3.95 GPA/Superior)

ASHLEY HICKMAN (Softball/3.76 GPA/Exemplary)

NICOLE FISHER (Women's Soccer/3.69 GPA/Exemplary)

*TRAVIS FORTIN (Baseball/4.0 GPA/Pinnacle Award)

RICHARD PRIBANIC (Baseball/3.65 GPA/Exemplary)
