PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast fell behind on a pair of first-half goals and couldn't battle back Tuesday in a 2-0 loss to Jones at Bary Thrash Field.
Esmeralda Figueroa scored in the 25th and 43rd minutes for the Bobcats (8-5, 4-1 MACJC South).
Gulf Coast falls to 1-10-1 overall, 1-3-1 in division. The Bulldogs remain in third place in the division, still with an opportunity to make the postseason in the final three regular-season games.
MGCCC plays Friday at Pearl River. Kickoff at Poplarville is set for 5 p.m.
