No. 20 Bulldogs lose at Meridian

No. 20 Mississippi Gulf Coast dropped its MACCC South opener on the road Saturday afternoon, falling 2-0 to Meridian. 

The Eagles (2-2, 1-0 South) got an early goal on a rebound in a congested keeper's box in the 7th minute. They iced the game with an 88th-minute penalty kick.

Gulf Coast falls to 1-3, 0-1, and will return to action with a trip to Ellisville on Tuesday to take on No. 4 Jones. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.
