Lady Bulldogs duo completes play at nationals

Paulina Estrada and Katie Robinson completed competition at the 2015 USTA/ITA National Small College Championships over the weekend at Sumter, S.C.

Estrada finished eighth in the singles competition and teamed with Robinson to finish eighth in the doubles competition.

Estrada took Mariner Ochoa of Fresno City to three sets Friday, losing 6-0, 1-6, 6-2. In the seventh-place match Saturday, Santa Monica's Mayra Jovic defeated her 6-1, 6-2.

In doubles, Estrada and Robinson lost to Iulia Sergheeva and Maria Medina on Friday. In the seventh-place match Saturday, Fresno City's Marifer Ochoa and Milah Ryland defeated them 6-1, 6-1.
