Bankston, Lopareva win again

PERKINSTON — Margarita Lopareva and Megan Bankston again won a pair of matches, but Mississippi Gulf Coast lost to Coastal Alabama-South 6-3 at the MGCCC Tennis Complex.

Lopareva (So., Moscow Russia/School No. 1101) defeated Madelyn Stewart 6-2, 2-1 at No. 1 singles, and Bankston (So., Gulfport/Gulfport) beat Kayley Groff 6-2, 6-3 at No. 2.

They teamed to win their No. 1 doubles match 8-3 over Stewart and Carmen Tidwell.

The Lady Bulldogs are back in action Friday when East Central is scheduled to visit Perkinston. First serves are set for 1 p.m.
