Gulf Coast wins 4th, 5th straight

Mississippi Gulf Coast claimed two more victories in women's tennis action Friday, winning 7-2 at Meridian followed by an 8-1 triumph over Wallace State in non-conference action.

The Bulldogs improved to 10-1 overall and remain in second place in the MACCC with a 8-1 mark. They've won five straight matches.

Krissy Georgieva (So., Epsom and Ewell High School/Sutton England) won all four of her matches, including two No. 1 singles points and two at No. 1 doubles with Ally Bowen (Fr., Oxford/Lafayette County) and Kasey Kent (Fr., Ridgeland/Ridgeland).

The Bulldogs travel to Coastal Alabama on Tuesday for another non-conference match. First serves are set for 1 p.m.
