Lee, McWillie named All-Region 23
PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast placed two players on the 11-man All-NJCAA Region 23 squad announced by the MACCC.
Voting was conducted by the conference's men's soccer coaches.
Midfielder Hyungjoon Lee (So., Suwon, South Korea/Dongbuk) has made the squad for the second straight year, while defender Zach McWillie (Fr., Jackson/Murrah) was selected in his first year as a collegian.
Lee, a sophomore from Suwon, South Korea, finished tied for second in the conference with 14 goals and added four assists. He also played at times this season as a forward and defender. Lee earned NJCAA All-American honors as a freshman.
McWillie, a freshman defender from Jackson, played center back for a Bulldogs team that finished third in goals-against at 1.36. He also had one assist.
The duo is now eligible for NJCAA All-American honors. Those awards will be announced on Nov. 30.
