Walters, Sanders, Giese will play in MACJC All-Star Game

PERKINSTON — Three Mississippi Gulf Coast women's soccer players have been selected to play in the MACJC Soccer All-Star Game.

 

Goalkeeper Kassady Walters, defender Lauren Sanders and midfielder Madi Giese will play in the game on Nov. 12 at Freedom Ridge Park in Ridgeland. The game, which is hosted by Holmes Community College, starts at 2 p.m.

 

Lady Bulldogs coach Jackie Rhodes will be an assistant for the South squad.

 

Walters, a sophomore from Harrison Central, finished with nine shutouts, most in the MACJC and tied for fourth in the NJCAA. She had a 0.88 goals-against average.

 

Sanders, a sophomore from Bay High, was a stalwart in central defense in front of Walters. Gulf Coast allowed just 14 goals in 16 games.

 

Giese, a sophomore from Newaygo, Mich., had four goals and two assists.
