Lady Bulldogs send 5 to All-Star Game

PERKINSTON — Four Mississippi Gulf Coast women's soccer players have been selected to play in the 2017 MACJC All-Star Soccer Game, where they'll be coached for one last time by MGCCC's Jackie Rhodes.

 

Erin Longsden (So., Droylsden Academy/Manchester, England), Casey LaFontaine (So., Pass Christian/Pass Christian), Jess Shepherd (So., Parrswood/Manchester, England) and Riann Brock (So., Oak Grove/Hattiesburg) and will play in the game Nov. 11 at Freedom Ridge Park in Ridgeland. The game will begin at 2 p.m.

 

Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for students with photo ID.

 

Longsden led the team with seven goals and assisted on three others. LaFontaine scored five times and assisted twice, while Shepherd had five goals and a team-high six assists. Brock was a mainstay for the Lady Bulldogs' central defense.

 

Rhodes will be the head coach of the South Division team.
