LaFontaine wins All-Star Game MVP
PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast's Casey LaFontaine scored the game-winning goal and won South Most Valuable Player at the MACJC All-Star Soccer Game on Saturday in Ridgeland.
LaFontaine, a sophomore from Pass Christian, scored in the 89th minute to beat the North 2-1.
She was joined in the game by fellow Lady Bulldogs Riann Brock (So., Oak Grove/Hattiesburg), Erin Longsden (So., Droylsden Academy/Manchester, England) and Jess Shepherd (So., Parrswood/Manchester, England).
Gulf Coast's Jackie Rhodes coached the squad.
