PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast needed to add an opponent on its schedule to make up for the havoc Mother Nature has been causing this spring.
Bulldogs coach Wes Thigpen found a willing partner in Mississippi Delta, and the teams will meet Monday in Vicksburg in a non-conference doubleheader. The first game starts at noon at the Sports Force Park.
The games bring Gulf Coast back to a complete set of dates per MACJC rules.

- MGCCC: 4-4
- Delta: 4-4
Last Time Out
- MGCCC swept Illinois Central 5-3 and 5-2 on Sunday at Perkinston.
- Delta split a pair of games in Meridian on Feb. 23, beating Copiah-Lincoln 15-5 in six innings and losing 4-3 to Meridian in eight.
Previous Meeting
Gulf Coast swept the MACJC doubleheader last year, beating Delta 10-8 and 11-1 at Perk on March 30.
