Bio
Ethan Anderson began his college coaching career in 2023 at Gulf Coast and is entering his third season here. The South Mississippi product coaches tight ends and fullbacks and brought NCAA and MACCC playing experience to the Bulldogs.
In 2004, tight end Matt Adcock signed to play at Memphis. The Bulldogs led the country in total offense (470.0 ypg), ranking fourth in passing yards (266.0) and fifth in rushing (204.0). They were the fifth-highest scoring team in the country (39.8 ppg), with the second-most passing touchdowns and 10th-most rushing scores.
His 2003 position room sent two players to the Next Level: Bryce Johnson (Northwestern State) and Jackson Kostmayer (Central Arkansas).
Anderson started seven games in two seasons playing for the University of Virginia’s College at Wise in NCAA Division II. Prior to that, he played a season at East Mississippi Community College, where he helped lead the team to the playoffs as a freshman. EMCC did not compete in football his second season there.
Anderson played at St. Martin High School, where he was a team captain who led the Yellow Jackets to back-to-back playoff appearances.
He graduated from EMCC with an associate’s degree and completed a bachelor’s in sports management at UVA Wise.
