4 Bulldogs go for double-digits at Delgado

PERKINSTON — Justin Minter led a quartet of Mississippi Gulf Coast players in double-figures, and the Bulldogs made more than half their shots in a 76-59 win at Delgado in New Orleans on Monday.

Minter (Fr., Wenonah/Birmingham, Ala.) had 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field to lead Gulf Coast, which has won its first seven games. D'yasmond Booker (Fr., Pascagoula/Pascagoula) and Dillyn Neely (So., Biloxi/Biloxi) had 13 points, and Anthony Ratliff (Fr., Terry/Jackson) had 12 points.

Ratliff led the Bulldogs with seven rebounds, and Booker pulled down six and had five steals.

The Bulldogs held Delgado (3-5) to 35.6 percent shooting from the floor.

Gulf Coast returns to action Monday with its first MACJC South game of the season. The Bulldogs play East Central at 7:30 p.m. at the Weathers-Wentzell Center in Perkinston.
