Bio
Former Gulf Coast keeper Zach Seymour returned to coach men’s and women’s soccer keepers this year. He made the save that got Gulf Coast to its first national tournament in 2021.
Seymour played three seasons at Perk, getting an extra year because of COVID. He started 16 of 17 games his final season, going 9-5-2 in 2021 with a 1.50 goals-against average. Seymour was named to the All-MACCC South team, and the highlight of his season was the penalty shootout against Pearl River in the MACCC/Region 23 Championship game. He not only scored his attempt in the sixth round, but stopped PRCC’s eighth attempt for an 8-7 win. That result punched the Bulldogs' ticket to Wichita, Kansas, for the NJCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Championship.
Seymour went on to play at Spring Hill and the Mississippi University for Women. He coaches the St. Patrick Catholic High School junior varsity team and assists the varsity head coach.
