Mississippi Gulf Coast traveled to Wesson on Friday and claimed a 3-1 victory over Copiah-Lincoln in women's soccer action.
"We played OK," Gulf Coast interim head coach Jackie Rhodes said. "We played well enough to get a 3-1 victory. We were flat, got off the bus late and had no intensity for most of the game."
Gulf Coast improves to 5-9, 3-5 MACJC South.
Tristan McFall and Jamie Dufault gave the Lady Bulldogs a 2-0 halftime lead. It was Dufault's first goal of the season.
Co-Lin scored midway through the second half, and Gulf Coast turned up the heat in the final 10 minutes trying to maximize goal differential for the standings. Madi Giese scored the final goal, leaving the Lady Bulldogs one short of their goal.
"It was a good enough performance to win," Rhodes said. "It wasn't one of our best."
The Lady Bulldogs return to play Tuesday when Jones County visits Perkinston at 5 p.m.
