MGCCC announces summer tennis camp

PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College will offer its summer tennis camp June 12-16 at the MGCCC Tennis Complex on the Perkinston Campus.

The camp runs from 9-11:30 a.m. each day and is for players age 7-18. Cost is $150 per student, due at registration. The camp features instruction from MGCCC tennis coach Gary Bourgeois and his staff of collegiate players and certified coaches.

The program includes player development in the strokes, footwork and motor skills, singles and doubles tactics and strategy, and match play. There will be video analysis of stroke and match play.

Campers should wear comfortable clothing, tennis shoes and a tennis racquet. They will receive T-shirts and drinks, with awards and prizes given during the camp.
