MGCCC Athletic Hall of Fame Nominations

I. ELIGIBILITY

  1. Nominees must be separated from the College for a minimum of five (5) years. 
  2. Coaches must have served a minimum of five (5) years at MGCCC, be re- tired or no longer coaching at MGCCC, and demonstrate distinguished coaching achievement. 
  3. Players must have competed for at least one (1) full season at MGCCC and demonstrated distinguished

II. CRITERIA

  1. Nomination form should include the candidate’s athletic and lifetime achievements.
  2. Only those who participated in college sports should be nominated. PAHS (Perkinston Agricultural High School) students who participated in the college sports program do qualify as candidates.
  3. Limit supporting input to the sport for which the candidate is nominated. Participation in other sports has no bearing on selection for the sport for which a candidate is nominated.
  4. Consideration of character and leadership qualities.
  5. Must attend ceremony (represented by family, if deceased).

III. NOMINATION PROCESS

  1. Any individual, current Bulldog Club member or not, may submit a nomination using the official nomination form. 
  2. Nomination forms will be available via the MGCCC Athletic Website and will also be distributed to all Bulldog Club members. 
  3. Nominations close May 15th (May 31st for 2026) 
  4. Nominations remain active for three years beginning with the year nominated. If the candidate is not selected during this three-year period, they must wait three (3) years to be nominated again. 

IV. SELECTION PROCESS

  1. Process overseen and implemented by Athletic Director’s Office. 
  2. Ballots must be sent out by June 10th, received by June 30th, and announced by August 1st .
  3. The Bulldog Club shall select up to five (5) inductees each year. 
  4. No more than three (3) inductees from the same sport may be selected in a single year. 
  5. The Athletic Hall of Fame Committee may select one (1) additional inductee annually at its discretion. 
  6. A maximum of six (6) inductees may be selected in any given year.

Email those items to Kimberly Redfearn, Kimberly.Redfearn@mgccc.edu.
Without an appropriate resume, the nominee will not be placed on the ballot.
Deadline for submitting nominations for the MGCCC Athletic Hall of Fame is May 31.
