Cody Myers took over Gulf Coast’s Strength and Conditioning program in June 2024, and he brings MACCC and NCAA experience to Perkinston.

Myers was the assistant strength and conditioning coach at Mississippi College for a year after being a graduate assistant there while completing his master’s in athletic administration.

He served as a strength and conditioning coach at Tri County Academy in 2022 while interning on the MC staff. He was a Choctaws intern during and after completing his playing career in Clinton.

Myers was an All-District offensive lineman at Pelahatchie High School and played at East Central Community College. He was a long snapper at the University of Louisiana in 2019 before transferring to Mississippi College, where he was an All-Gulf South Conference First Team member as a special teams utility player.

He graduated from MC with a bachelor’s in kinesiology and was on the Academic All-GSC team. Myers is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Myers is engaged to Emilie Ursin.
