Regina Story became Gulf Coast’s Athletic Academic Advisor in April 2025, overseeing the classroom performance of the 220-plus student-athletes at Perkinston.

A veteran of the United States Air Force, Story has previous experience working at MGCCC. She served as student support representative and military base representative for Keesler Air Force Base and the Naval Construction Battalion Center in 2023-2024.

She left the Air Force Reserves as a technical sergeant after eight years of service. Story went on to work with the Harrison County Board of Supervisors as a project director, and then was an art teacher and teacher assistant at Oak Park and River Oaks elementary schools. She was later a career coach with the United Way of Jackson and George Counties and finance counselor with Southern New Hampshire University.

Story has a bachelor’s in English with a minor in history from The University of Southern Mississippi. She and her husband have two sons, Ian and Evan. Ian is a former Gulf Coast soccer player.
