MGCCC offers College Cheer Prep Clinics
PERKINSTON — The national award-winning Mississippi Gulf Coast Cheer Team will host a pair of College Prep Clinics in September for students in ninth through 12th grades.
The Bulldogs squad finished third in the country in its first trip to the UCA & UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship. The team, led by coach Karlee Nobles, will instruct campers with college cheer aspirations in Perkinston and Gulfport.
The first clinic will take place Sept. 9 at the Weathers-Wentzell Center on the Perkinston Campus. Registration takes place at 1 p.m., with the clinic starting 30 minutes later and ending at 4:30. The second clinic will be Sept. 16 at Lanier's Gymnasium in Gulfport with the same times.
The $25 fee includes instruction for stunting and tumbling, as well as cheers and band dances.
