
No. 2 MGCCC is second after first round in Columbus
No. 2 Mississippi Gulf Coast is four shots back in second place after the first round of MACJC Event No. 6, being played at Lion Hills Golf Course in Columbus.
The Bulldogs shot 15-over 303 to trail Copiah-Lincoln with one round left to play Sunday. They are four shots ahead of Meridian.
Gulf Coast's Grant Motter shot a 1-over 73 and is in a second-place tie, one shot behind Co-Lin's Cole Arsenault.
The Bulldogs' Jonathon Newman, playing as an individual, shot 3-over and is tied for sixth. George Kawell and Wyatt Adkinson are tied for 10th at 4-over, and Colin Troxler is tied for 16th at 6-over.
