Men’s Soccer kicks off schedule Aug. 22

PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast has nine home games on its 2025 men's soccer schedule, which kicks off Aug. 22 at Bary Thrash Field.

The Bulldogs, who advanced to the NJCAA Tournament for the second time in school history last year, open this season when Johnson County makes the trip from Kansas. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. All home games will be streamed at https://mgcccbulldogs.com/watch.

Under coach Chris Handy, Gulf Coast finished as MACCC runners-up and advanced to the NJCAA Region 23 semifinals before being eliminated in penalties.

Six of the nine home dates will be MACCC doubleheaders with the women's team. Gulf Coast opens conference play Sept. 16 with a home match against Meridian. Tickets will go on sale later this month. They'll be available at http://mgcccbulldogs.com/tickets.

The Bulldogs will play a pair of exhibitions before the season starts. They'll host Southwest Mississippi on Aug. 9 and play against program alumni on Aug. 16.
