Lady Bulldogs play Northwest on Saturday

PERKINSTON – Mississippi Gulf Coast heads into this weekend's match against Northwest expecting an even matchup.

The Lady Bulldogs (5-4 MACJC) and the Rangers (2-4) have had similar results against common opponents this year.

"They're an improving team," Gulf Coast coach Gary Bourgeois said. "They got a late start on the season, so we don't a whole lot about them. "

Northwest was playing Hinds on Friday before heading to the match at the MGCCC Tennis Complex. First serve is at 10 a.m.

"I think it's going to be a tough match for us," Bourgeois said. "We match up real well, so the top part of the lineup is going to come through."
