Mississippi Gulf Coast dug too big a hole on the road Tuesday and couldn't climb back in a 2-1 loss at Itawamba.
The Indians (6-3, 2-1 MACCC) scored in the first five minutes of play in Fulton, then added another in the 62nd minute.
Morgan Pickering (Fr., Wiggins/Stone) scored for Gulf Coast with 17 minutes left, but the Bulldogs couldn't find an equalizer. They are now 2-4-2 overall, 0-2-2 MACCC.
Gulf Coast travels to Copiah-Lincoln on Friday for another MACCC contest. Kickoff in Wesson is at 1 p.m.
