Alyssa Palisi earned the Mississippi Gulf Coast women's soccer team another tie Friday night, with the Bulldogs settling for a 1-1 draw in double overtime at Meridian.
Palisi's seventh goal of the season came in the 58th minute, set up by Morgan Pickering (Fr., Wiggins/Stone). The tied the score after the Eagles went in front in the final 90 seconds of the first half.
Palisi nearly grabbed the Bulldogs' first MACCC victory of the season in the final 10 seconds. She scorched a shot from outside of the box the Meridian keeper was able to push over the bar in the final 10 seconds of the second overtime.
Meridian is 4-9-1 overall, 2-6-1 MACCC.
Gulf Coast heads into its final game of the season 2-8-3 overall, 0-6-3. The Bulldogs will entertain Southwest Mississippi on Tuesday on Sophomore Night. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.
