Bulldogs maintain hold on No. 1
PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast retained the top spot in the Bushnell Golfweek NJCAA Division II Coaches Poll released Friday.
The Bulldogs got two of three first-place votes to beat out Parkland, which got the other top nod and moved up from fourth. South Mountain is third and Kirkwood is fourth.
Gulf Coast has won three straight events and will close out its fall schedule by hosting the MGCCC Fall Invitational starting Monday. The two-day, 54-hole event will feature 17 teams from around the country.
MACCC rival Meridian is tied for fifth in the poll, and Northeast Mississippi is receiving votes.
