MGCCC football moves into Top 20
PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast moved into the Top 20 of the NJCAA football rankings this week, taking over the No. 20 spot.
The Bulldogs (3-2) got into the poll for the first time despite losing at Hinds last week. The undefeated Eagles jumped to 12th spot as the NJCAA's Football Copmuter Rankings started factoring into the rankings.
There are four other MACJC teams in the rankings: No. 1 East Mississippi, No. 11 Northwest, No. 15 Holmes and No. 17 Jones.
Gulf Coast returns to action Thursday when Mississippi Delta visits Perkinston. Kickoff at A.L. May Memorial Stadium is at 7 p.m. The game can be watched online at https://livestream.com/BulldogLIVE/events/7768436.
