Spivery shoots way to MACJC Player of the Week
PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast's LaRaymond Spivery has been named MACJC Player of the Week after two spectacular games last week.
Spivery, a freshman guard from George County, missed double-doubles in two games by one assist in each while averaging 24.0 points.
In a 90-73 loss to Pearl River, had had 21 points, 9 assists, 5 rebounds, 2 steals and a block. On the road in a 100-94 win at Southwest, he had 27 points while shooting 8-of-10 from the field, with 9 assists, 4 rebounds and a steal.
It's the second consecutive week a Bulldog player has won the award. Dedoch Chan won his second state honor of the season last week.
