Lopareva, Bankston win twice

Mississippi Gulf Coast's Margarita Lopareva and Megan Bankston again won both her matches, but the Lady Bulldogs lost 6-3 at East Central on Thursday.

Lopareva (So., Moscow Russia/School No. 1101) teamed with Bankston (So., Gulfport/Gulfport) to defeat Ali Grace Walker and Josie Hurst 9-8 (7-4) in No. 1 doubles.

Lopareva won her No. 1 singles match 6-1, 6-0 over Gabriela Gomez, and Bankston defeated Hurst 6-4, 6-2 in No. 2 singles.
