No. 1 MGCCC dominates MACCC awards

PERKINSTON — It was no surprise No. 1 Mississippi Gulf Coast cleaned up in the MACCC postseason awards when the conference championship wrapped up Wednesday in Pass Christian.

The Bulldogs won all six regular-season events plus the MACCC Championship at The Oaks Golf Club, led by Tommy Snell Award-winner Chase Kaiser. The sophomore from Natchez got that award for winning medalist by firing 10-under over 36 holes.

He also won the Hubert Tucker Award given to the low average over all MACCC play. Kaiser averaged 70.29 strokes per round, which earned him the top spot on the All-MACCC First Team.

Will Burnham (Fr., Jackson/Jackson Prep), Alessio Graziani (So., Johannesburg, South Africa/Beaulieu College) and Andrew Zielinski (Fr., Ocean Springs/Ocean Springs) joined him on the First Team.

Jackson Wise (Fr., Pontotoc/North Pontotoc) made the All-MACCC Second Team.

Kaiser, Graziani and Burnham made the All-Tournament team at the conference championship.
