Kaome, Askin earn All-MACCC kudos
PERKINSTON — Two Mississippi Gulf Coast players earned spots on the All-MACCC Women's Tennis Team.
Tanyaradzwa Kaome (Fr., Harare, Zimbabwe/The Heritage School) and Bayley Askin (Fr., St. Martin/St. Martin) were named to the All-MACCC for their performances in 2022.
Kaome went 14-3 against MACCC competition in No. 1 singles, winning her last six matches. She played No. 1 doubles with Hayden Hensarling and Kasey Kent, going 9-9.
Askin went 10-4 against conference foes while playing No. 3 and No. 4 singles. She also teamed with Ashleigh Chelette and Ashlegh Wine to go 13-3 in No. 3 doubles.
Gulf Coast finished 18th at the NJCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championship in Tucson, Ariz., earlier this month.
