House wins MACCC award
PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast running back Deondre House turned in a dominant performance in the Bulldogs' season-opener, and he earned a prestigious honor Tuesday.
He's won the MACCC Offensive Player of the Week award for his 220-yard rushing performance in a 42-25 win at Pearl River. He averaged more than 10 yards per carry on 21 rushes and scored a touchdown.
House led the nation by averaging 7.2 yards per carry as a freshman, helping the Bulldogs to the 2020 national championship.
