Gulf Coast season opener rescheduled for Saturday

PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast's game against No. 3 Northwest Mississippi will be played Saturday.
The MACCC has reversed its initial ruling and is now requiring the teams to meet the MACCC Handbook provision that states "football games postponed due to inclement weather must be made up within 48 hours."
Kickoff at historic A.L. May Memorial Stadium is set for 4 p.m. Admission will be free for all who attend. Those who purchased a ticket for the Thursday night game versus Northwest will be allowed free admittance on Sept. 14 when the Bulldogs face Itawamba by presenting their ticket.
The game will be streamed at https://mgcccbulldogs.com/watch. The game will not be available on the radio because of other commitments at the station.
