An arduous road trip got that much harder for Mississippi Gulf Coast on Saturday.
The Bulldogs needed two overtimes to defeat Northwest in Senatobia, with Jordan Parron getting the game-winner in the 108th minute.
Gulf Coast (8-2) defeated Itawamba 2-0 on Friday, and has now won six in a row.
Northwest falls to 8-4-1.
All Saturday's scoring came late, with Northwest's Jonathan Felix scoring in the 73rd minute.
The Bulldogs' James Beattie converted a penalty kick less than three minutes later, which wound up forcing overtime.
Gulf Coast returns to action Friday in the first of two home games on consecutive days against NJCAA Division I teams. The Bulldogs play Jacksonville College at 4 p.m., then turn around and play No. 2 Eastern Florida State at 4 p.m.
